From the author: “I woke up in a room different from yours. A room without windows or door handles. A room full of misunderstandings and paradoxes, leading to an emotional regression. To remind myself how to live, I reached for a pen, a pencil, paints, and canvas.”
At the artist's latest exhibition, his sixth at the Art Brut Gallery, we will see surrealistic drawings made with ink and watercolors. This time, the theme of the works will be organic creations – combinations of intertwined human and animal body parts with fragments of plants. The whole is transformed through the prism of the author's extraordinary imagination. As the artist himself says: “True art will defend itself...”

For the sixth time, the Art Brut Gallery at the Centre for Culture in Lublin will present works by Marcin Wrzal. This time, the exhibition features surrealistic drawings in ink and watercolor, in a series titled “Ripped from the Shackles of Imagination.”
The exhibition’s closing event (finissage) will take place on Thursday, 29 June 2023, at 5:00 PM. The artist’s works will be on display in the gallery until 8 July. We warmly invite you to visit!
